Rhea Perlman is a longtime advocate for children, especially older children from foster care, and has worked with the Children’s Action Network for the past few years to raise awareness and help them find permanent loving families.
Children’s Action Network (CAN) uses the power of the entertainment community to increase awareness about children’s issues and to make them a top priority in everyday life. CAN is currently dedicated to raising awareness about and finding homes for the more than 104,000 children in foster care in the United States who are waiting for an adoptive family and improving outcomes for the more than 400,000 children in foster care.
“We’ve been making videos and trying to find these kids homes – and some of the videos have literally changed a child’s life,” says Rhea Perlman. These short films, part of a series called “This is Me,” which features children in foster care waiting to be adopted telling their stories in their own words.
