WAR Performs New Song with Cheech & Chong

WAR performs

One of the most popular funk groups of the ’70s, WAR mixes soul, Latin, jazz, blues, reggae, and rock influences into an effortlessly funky sound. WAR was joined by hilarious duo Cheech & Chong onstage, along with the USC Marching Band to perform their new song, “That L.A. Sunshine” from their first studio album in 20 years, Evolutionary.

The pairing of WAR and Cheech & Chong seemed like such a natural fit that they decided to go on tour together. “We both had the same audience base,” says WAR’s Lonnie Jordan. “Those who love music and those who love comedy.” They will perform classic hits like “Why Can’t We Be Friends” and “Low Rider.”

The “Up in Smoke Tour” promises to be a night full of  your favorite WAR hits and all of Cheech & Chong’s outrageous and hilarious comedy as well as their hit records.
